Compostable Mailers vs Plasticβ¦Whatβs the difference?

Many plastic mailing mags are made from petroleum so arenβt biodegradable. This means they can remain in landfills or in nature for years and contribute to environmental pollution.
MailersΒ that are certified with the βseedling logoβ Β can be broken down in industrial composting facilities, making them an wonderfully zero waste, eco-friendly alternative.
CompostableΒ mailersΒ decompose into carbon dioxide, water, and organic matter, meaning that they can be returned to the earth relatively quickly and wonβt stick around for years, like a plastic bag would.
The βSeedling Logoβ
The Seedling logo is a registered trademark owned by European Bioplastics.
It proves that a product is certified industrially compostable according to the European Standard EN 13432.
What does this certification mean exactly?
When successfully certified, the product will fully biodegrade in an industrial composting plant under controlled conditions such as temperature, moisture and time frameβ leaving nothing behind but water, biomass and CO2.

How to dispose
Simply pop the usedΒ mailerΒ in the food waste collection bin and it will be taken to the industrial composting facility.
In the industrial facility, controlled conditions like temperature and humidity encourage bacteria and their enzymes to digest the compostable polymers as a source of nutrition and your mailer will breakdown in just 6-12 weeks!

We actually like to use ours at home as Food WasteΒ Caddy liners and they work fantastically!

And our mailers are Carbon Neutral!
