Welsh Language Policy
The Welsh language is one of the treasures of Wales and an important part of our national identity, culture and communities. As a Welsh business, Simplelifeco recognises the importance of supporting and promoting the use of Welsh.
We support the Welsh Government’s Cymraeg 2050 ambition to increase the number of Welsh speakers and create more opportunities for people to use the language in everyday life.
Our commitment
At Simplelifeco, we value both Welsh and English and welcome communication from our customers in either language. We aim to support the use of Welsh within our business and to develop our Welsh-language provision as we grow.
We see this policy as part of our wider commitment to Wales, our community and responsible business.
We aim to:
-
Welcome correspondence from customers in both Welsh and English.
-
Treat Welsh-language communication with the same care and respect as English-language communication.
-
Recognise and celebrate the bilingual nature of Wales.
-
Increase the visibility and use of Welsh within our business where practical.
-
Support employees who wish to develop their Welsh-language skills.
-
Consider opportunities to expand our Welsh-language services as our business grows.
-
Follow relevant guidance and good practice relating to the Welsh language.
Looking ahead
We recognise that our Welsh-language provision will develop over time. As Simplelifeco grows, we will continue to look for practical ways to increase the opportunities for our customers and team to use Welsh.
We are proud to be a Welsh business and to play our part in supporting a thriving future for the Welsh language.
