Ethical Schoolwear offers school uniforms made by B Corp manufacturers that not only benefit the planet but also the people who make them, the kids who wear them, and the grown-ups who purchase them.

Since its establishment in 2023, Ethical Schoolwear has gained a loyal following, thanks to its commitment to ethical manufacturing and eco-conscious business practices. Liam, the mastermind behind this venture, shares his journey and sheds light on the positive impact his business is making.

When asked about his motivation to start Ethical Schoolwear, Liam explains, "Since becoming a parent 7 years ago, I've become more conscious of our consumption habits. I ask a lot of questions - what's it made from? Who made it? How much? It was particularly challenging to find answers regarding school uniforms. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create Ethical Schoolwear."

Running a business alongside another job can be challenging, but for Liam, the rewards outweigh the difficulties. He passionately adds, "My favourite part of running Ethical Schoolwear is the opportunity to make a positive impact. For every order, I plant a tree on my smallholding, and customers can even name their tree. Seeing the joy in children's faces as they name their tree brings me so much joy."

However, like any business, Ethical Schoolwear faces its own set of challenges. Liam explains, "School uniform is seasonal, and during term time, the concerns about SEO and social media seem trivial. But once school uniform season hits, the excitement and demand take centre stage."

What sets Ethical Schoolwear apart is its commitment to eco-conscious business practices. When asked about his decision to be more eco-conscious, Liam confidently states, "It's the right thing to do. Every decision I make considers the impact on people and the planet."

Taking the first steps towards eco business practices was not without its hurdles. Liam recalls, "I started by finding eco and ethically focused suppliers. It was a need I had as a parent, and I realised there must be others who care about these issues as well."

To further support its mission of sustainability, Ethical Schoolwear utilises Simplelifeco products such as compostable and paper mailers, reducing its ecological footprint while delivering items to customers.

Looking towards the future, Ethical Schoolwear has ambitious goals. Liam shares, "My next step is to survive my first busy summer without losing my mind. The demand is already increasing, and I'm eager to meet the needs of our customers."

For individuals considering starting their own business, Liam offers this advice, "If you're passionate about something, chances are there are others who feel the same. Find your tribe and pursue your dreams."

With Ethical Schoolwear, Liam is showing that businesses can make a positive impact on the world. By prioritising ethical practices and environmental sustainability, Ethical Schoolwear is transforming the school uniform market and inspiring others to follow suit.

So, next time you're in need of school uniforms, choose Ethical Schoolwear and make a difference, one uniform at a time.
