Crafting Dreams: The Inspiring Journey of Make Me Roar

Kate, the founder of Make Me Roar, is a force to be reckoned with and has carved a niche for herself in the world of crochet design. Since its inception in 2012, Make Me Roar has been known for its unique, detailed, and easy-to-follow crochet patterns that capture the imagination of crafters worldwide.

Reflecting on her entrepreneurial journey, Kate shares, "I've always loved making things. When I did my first craft fair back in 2008, I enjoyed myself so much and just wanted to keep creating." Inspired by her love for crafting and her background in retail interior design, Kate embarked on a path that would lead to the creation of Make Me Roar.

For Kate, the most exhilarating part of running Make Me Roar is the design process. She enthuses, "I love that I can run my business around school runs and family life. The moment when a sketch idea comes to fruition and looks just as good as I imagined it is incredibly fulfilling." Kate's passion for design is evident in each meticulously crafted pattern she creates.

In an effort to make her business more eco-conscious, Kate made the switch to using Simplelifeco's Compostable Poly Bags for her packaging. She emphasises the importance of sustainability, stating, "When I came across eco-friendly packaging, I knew I had found the answer. It aligns with my values of reusing materials wherever possible."

Looking towards the future, Kate's aspirations for Make Me Roar include expanding her pattern catalogue and embarking on an exciting new project. When asked to share her advice for budding entrepreneurs, she offers, "Have the bigger picture in mind but break everything down into manageable tasks. With determination and creativity, anything is possible."
